For this Scandinavian–meets–Mid-Century Modern vacation rental, we artfully layered old and new to create maximum appeal for potential guests. We highlighted the home’s mid-century details—like the slab-front wood kitchen cabinets and wall tile—by introducing playful wallcoverings, oversized wood acorn pendants, and an eclectic mix of textural furnishings, rugs, and window treatments. The result is a space that feels thoughtfully curated, visually dynamic, and perfectly balanced between timeless design and contemporary charm.
